Break in study (vacation dates)
Provides a definition of breaks in study and vacation dates.
A study break is the gap between periods a course is being delivered, for example mid-term or mid-semester breaks.
This is not a case of where the student is simply not attending, or has taken a leave of absence from the course.
Breaks need only be included in a VoS response if they are for greater than three weeks (21 days) in duration. In a VoS response, the start date should generally be the Monday following the last day of attendance, with the end date being the Sunday before the course recommences.
